No.3
September 2025
Admittedly, the third issue has evolved differently from what was originally planned. It contains no game analyses, no tournament reports, not even a single shogi diagram — a lack that might seem almost unthinkable for a shogi magazine. But what it does have is everything that resonated most with our readers: interviews and portraits of remarkable people, vivid memories from Minsk’s gaming community, and historical explorations.
Highlights in this issue:
- An interview with Andrei Kasperovich — an enthusiast and promoter of chess-related games, former FESA President, and one of the founding figures of the modern Belarusian shogi community — reflecting on its history and current state.
- Dariko Todua: the story of the girl who became the face of Minsk shogi.
- The mystery of the first commercial localization of shogi outside Japan. (Сontinued.)
- The origin of the game of draughts. (Сontinued.)
